Gage Protector

This rubber protector is designed to protect gages which are bonded onto metal surfaces from the environment for long term measurement. The strain gage is packed inside together with the applied adhesive and overcoating materials. The protector is also provided with a hole for cable intake. It allows the entire area to be isolated from ambient conditions which may affect reliable measurements, and further increases the coating performance.

Epoxy resin is required to fill inside for protection against physical damages after first and second overcoatings are applied.

Dimensions(mm) Frame ø100 (inner ø92) × 15 (height)
Cover ø100 × 3 (thick)
Operational temperature -20 ~ +80°C
Connection ø9mm extension cable recommended

Caution: Strain gages with a large size backing, such as the PFL-30-11 and PL-60-11, cannot be used with the Gage Protector.
